Tiger Saw Sightings
Saturday, December 2nd, 2006Back last summer, Tiger Saw spent a day in Virginia at Monkeyclaus, which describes itself as “equal parts music studio, burgeoning
record label, music distributor, and social movement”. There they played a
bonfire with Sarah White and Annie Palmer, which Monkeyclaus recorded and has written about on its website. Also posted: a few songs from Tiger Saw (“All My Friends Are Right Here With Me” and “To Drown Tonight”), Annie, and Sarah.
A solo acoustic Tiger Saw set in Rock Island, Illinois was also recorded this past summer for the Daytrotter website, who have posted the songs ( “The Tiger and the Tailor”, “Singing with Ghosts”, the previously unreleased “Distance”, and two covers of the Hotel Alexis songs “OK” and “Backyard with a View”) as part of their Daytrotter Sessions, available free for downloading.
And finally, in October the band played a show in Columbus, Ohio, where two little
girls joined then onstage for “R U Courageous?” Thankfully Thomas Heath caught it on video.
