On June 11, Chris Brokaw won the 2006 Certificate for Outstanding Achievement for Best Original Film Score at the Brooklyn International Film Festival for Leslie McCleave’s feature film Road. The award was presented at a ceremony at the Brooklyn Museum.
The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival last June, where it won the Jury Prize for Outstanding Performance for actors Catherine Kellner and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Paula Kelley is an active member of L.E.O. , a new project spearheaded by Columbia recording artist Bleu, which features her arrangements and voice along with this startlingly star-studded list of contributors: Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish), Mike Viola (The Candy Butchers), Jason Scheff (Chicago), Steve Gorman (The Black Crowes), Matt Mahaffey (Self), John Fields (big-time pop-producer), Tony Goddess (pApAs fritAs), Hanson, and more. Yes, it is a recording project that began as a tribute to the genius of Jeff Lynne and his Electric Light Orchestra. The CD Alpacas Orgling is due for release sometime this year.
In more Paula news, Ms. Kelley will be appearing on Boston’s renowned AM station WRKO on Friday, June 30 at 9:00, chatting and playing a couple of songs live.
